Khaki Parka + Navy

Ya es sabido que las parkas vienen compartiendo nuestro fondo de armario desde hace tiempo, pero no ha sido hasta este invierno cuando he sentido la imperiosa necesidad de ponerme una. Yo era más de trench y abrigo (dependiendo la temperatura), pero la parka caqui con su versatilidad ha sido uno de los must de la temporada otoño – invierno. Así que tuve que desempolvar la mía que es  de varias temporadas atrás, pero de la que me doy cuenta ahora fue una buena inversión. Es una prenda muy versátil y se ve bien con infinidad de looks, inclusive con mi fijación por lo navy!

 

It is known that parkas have belonged to our wardrobe essentials for a while, but it was not until this winter when I felt I really needed one. I was used to wearing trenches and coats (depending on the weather), but khaki parkas' versatility has been one of the “must” for the autumn – winter season. So I had to dust off mine -which is dated several seasons back-, and I do realize now it was a very good investment. This garment is very versatile and fits so well into so many looks, even navy trends!

No creo que el navy sea solo para el verano, y ustedes que piensan? Además con el magnífico tiempo de estos días se presta a usar y abusar de él, no creen. Muchos dirán que esta es una tendencia que ya está muy vista, pero es que sienta tan bien y es un outfit que da mucho juego. En esta ocasión llevo un vestido ligero y con otra tendencia no tan vista: las mangas abullonadas. También he de decir que una parka es el mejor complemento para cuando hace fresquito, y le va de perlas a este look navy. Y es que es un must que no pasa de moda!

 

 

 

I do not think that the navy look is just for summertime; what do you think? Besides the great weather these days, it lends itself to be used and abused, don’t you think? Many people say that this is a too-much-seen trend, but it makes you feel so good… and it’s an outfit which offers plenty of variations. On this occasion I wear a light dress with another trend not that common: the puffed sleeves. I also must say that the parka is the best complement for chilly-time, and it does fit so well this navy look. And it is a must that never goes out of fashion!
